DARE BIRSA graphic artist and painter, born in 1958 in Prekmurje. After studying political science, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana in 1987, where he continued to specialize in the graphic arts department until 1989. Between 1999 and 2006 he lectured at the College of Drawing and Painting in Ljubljana, since 2010 he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and since 2012 also at the Faculty of Design and the Faculty of Health of the University of Ljubljana and at the ALUO in Ljubljana. He participated in more than 100 group exhibitions and had more than 30 solo exhibitions. His paintings and graphics are in public collections (Albertina Vienna, Museo della Xilografia Carpi, Murska Sobota Gallery, Kärntner Sparkasse, Casino Velden, Abanka, NLB Ljubljana...) and in many private collections.
