​Born in 1956 in Maribor, the artist opened the door to the world of contemporary art through years of education and mentoring, trained in Barcelona and participated in more than 300 group and 80 solo exhibitions. He received 22 awards, including international ones, and is active in painting symposia and colonies.  Since 2010, he has been the president of the Jože Tisnikar-Mislinja Cultural Society, which runs the Kavka gallery in the painter's birthplace, and his works are in various collections. His painting is characterized as associative abstraction, he lives and creates in Slovenj Gradac and in the studio at Sv. Janez na Pohorje.
