​Mersad Berber, born in 1940 in Bosanski Petrovac, was a famous painter and graphic artist who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana and later became a professor in Sarajevo. His art focuses on Bosnian tradition and culture and includes recognizable images of horses and girls. Berber has had numerous solo exhibitions around the world, his works are included in the Tate gallery in London, and he has also received more than 50 awards.
