Sieders E. Hendrik

Hendrik E. Sieders was born in Hoogeveen, the Netherlands. He spent his childhood and school years mainly in Lučany or Großklein. Even then, his talent for drawing and painting was evident. After studying painting in Gleinstättn and a successful final exam in Graz, he traveled like many others to distant Bonn on the Rhine. From there he traveled to Paris several times, especially to the artistic district of Montmartre. At that moment, he could not observe his present-day painting technique of erasing, but only sensed it. He worked in Bonn for more than four decades as a master painter with his own craft, but the desire to paint never left him. Self-taught, he devoted all his free time to realistic light and shadow painting. No one ever told him or showed him how to use paint, brush and cloth in today's erasing painting technique, so he was his own teacher. From 1986 to 2006, he was a member of the Cologne painting circle E.V. and art.
